With our extraordinarily diverse and versatile faculty, you can study classical styles from Medieval and Renaissance to the latest Avant Garde.
You can study traditional Jazz, Rock, Pop and Blues, as well as Percussive Acoustic Guitar, Afro-Pop, Flamenco, Avant Rock, Metal, Noise, and a wide variety of World Music styles.
You can learn a wide variety of plucked string instruments, including nylon string and steel string acoustic, electric, and MIDI guitars, as well as lute, sarod, and sitar.
You can focus on one style or expand your abilities in multiple styles. We have an open learning environment that is a creative cauldron for blending, combining and developing new styles.
The guitar and its relatives are involved in virtually every aspect of music. We are dedicated to preparing our students not only for the music of the past and present, but for creating the music of the future.
